Okee-Dokee is a male Maine Coon.
He is an exquisite rich warm brown tabby with a wonderful
bi-color pattern. He weighs in at 21 lbs. (I answered
that question a zillion times!)
After many years of breeding and evaluating many cats,
from day one I realized this was a special cat. Watching
and waiting for him to mature was a lesson is patience.
First he was too tall, then too long, and then his ears
were so big. I didn’t think he would ever grow into them.
Then it all came together.
I started the 2002-2003 season with the hope of a national
campaign. I don’t think I really made the commitment until
I drove 13 hours across the country to the Mo-Kan show.
I knew then I must be serious (or crazy).
Our most memorable show was the November Dayton Show.
Okee was the highest scoring cat in premiership. He made
every final but one. It was a great show.
I would like to thank all of the friends, judges and Cleveland
Persian club members who supported our goal. I would
also like to mention how much I appreciated the encouragement
I got from many other Maine Coon breeders. This
cat, this year, with this top 20, was a very special win.
Thanks to all for making the 2002-2003 show season a year
to remember.
